Drummer, Percussionist and Educator Jon Broberg is the latest artist to join our family of Jobeky endorsers. He is known for his very musical approach to playing solos, mixing awesome groove and amazing technique with tuneful, dynamic playing both on drum kit and percussion.

Jon is also gaining a reputation nationally as one of the Countries leading drum tutors, with a steady stream of some of the best young drummers around coming out of his studio.



We have just made Jon a custom kit to fit in with his varied playing and teaching needs.




"I play a lot of different styles of music, on kit and on congas and percussion. My Jobeky set up is great because I can use it as a stand alone electronic kit which looks stunning live and works perfectly with any number of sound sources and samples. It plays just like a traditional kit so there's no adjustment to the rhythms I play, just more sounds!

"Its an engineers dream too for studio work, as it just plugs in goes! I've used it with acoustic cymbals which for recording gives the ultimate in sound control and expression."

"I can also use a couple of the toms alongside my acoustic kit to trigger samples or add in electronic sounds which is great for dance beats or adding unusual sounds in a jazz setting".

"In my percussion rig I use the bass drum to play foot patterns against the conga or timbale patterns, just like a foot clave but with unlimited sounds! Anything from a monster bass drum groove to a shaker. Percussionists always want more sounds but there's only so much you can carry, so I have a couple of the smaller toms in there too, which can be anything I like!"

"For practice or teaching the kit is amazing, its not always easy to emulate an acoustic kits feel and set up but this is as close as it gets. Students love it because they can get so many sounds which can be inspiring and lets them be creative with patterns. With two pairs of studio headphones it also virtually silent."
