Cobus is an amazing YouTube phenomena, born in South Africa he is currently bursting onto the scene after causing a sensation with his popular covers of a wide variety of musical styles. In the process he has added something of his own take to everything he plays, culminating in a massive YouTube following who wait eagerly for his next release, and who have racked up over an astonishing 11 million views of his self recorded videos.

It hasn’t taken people long to notice his raw talent and infectious energy, and this has created the opportunity to record and put together a DVD,which has now been released, that will be both instructional, and chart how a self taught drummer managed to break the mould in a six year journey.

It’s not just a few individuals who have been blown away by Cobus however – he has attracted attention from numerous quarters, and appeared on the primetime South African MKTV show JIP, where he was dubbed ‘a child prodigy’ by the hosts. His own website is also very well attended, and you only need to watch one of the many videos we have embedded onto the footer of this page to see why.
